The Center of Life and Food Sciences (Wissenschaftszentrum Weihenstephan - WZW) of the Technische Universität München in Weihenstephan hosts about 80 professors and 5000 students in nutrition, land utilization and environment. Educational courses range from forestry, to ecology, agriculture, food sciences and technology, brewing and nutrition to biology and molecular biotechnology.

Lectures, poster session and industrial exhibition take place in the "Hörsaalzentrum" located in the Weihenstephan campus center, in proximity to the eye-catching round library, and the "students Mensa".

The history of the original Weihenstepan monastery as well as science, research and education is millenniums old. We can just offer you a faint glimpse into these ancient times and it´s most important dates here.

Weihenstephan belongs to the town Freising which has a very long history and is a long time Christian center in upper Bavaria. About 50,000 people live here, many of them working and studying at the Technical University of Munich in Weihenstephan.
